Somali Chemical Society has the following points
- Advance chemistry as a science and as a professional in the entire Somalia country in order to assist the academia, researchers, government as well as the private Sectors that deals with chemicals, to protect our society and the environment as well.
- Playing a leadership role: Through expanding chemistry based knowledge and applications within the country in order to raise awareness on chemical risk related issues in Water, Health, agrochemistry and environment to the public policy makers and Government institutions, Academic Institutions, Private Sector like Small-to-Medium Industries to prevent risks associated from chemicals placed on the market especially dual-use chemicals without having guiding rules and regulations.
- Conducting Capacity Development programs through organizing and facilitating workshops, seminars and conferences nationally and internationally and grants awards related with Chemistry to improve the perception of chemistry and its practice in our society.
