Objectives
The purpose of the workshop is to provide Chemists and Chemical Engineers from academia , industry and government an opportunity to understand the concerns regarding Potential Threats to Chemicals of Concern, the overall goal of the workshop is to work with participants to Identify potential threats to chemical facilities, Identify chemicals of concern and their risk, adversary characteristics.
Course Description
The 3-day workshop will include such topics as identifying Potential Threats to Chemicals of Concern, Insider and Outsiders Threat: Items of Interest in a Chemical Facility, Adversary Characteristics, chemical security risk assessment, operational security, Steps to define the threat (understanding their tools, tactics, and actions), Identification and Mitigation and international events caused by dual use chemicals, Some international chemical control. The workshop will include discussions on the best practices for handling Both Chemicals of Concern and Dual-Use chemicals.
