Chemical Transport Security

Objectives

The purpose of the workshop is to provide  chemical laboratory leaders from academia and small-to-medium industries an opportunity to understand the concerns regarding the transport security of chemical materials. Acknowledge the  potential consequences of the malicious use of chemical materials The overall goal of the workshop is to work with participants to  identify the  elements of a Transportation Security Plan for the secure transport of high consequence chemicals and Understand risk reduction strategies. The overall goal of the workshop is to work with participants to maintain deliver chemical material safely to end consumers and protect from adversaries and their acts. 

Course Description

The 3-day workshop will include such topics on Transportation Security Threats and chemical transportation, Transportation Risk Management, Vulnerability Analysis on Transportation Security, Protective Measures, process safety and industrial security, personnel reliability, and chemical inventory management. Process Equipment Inspection and Testing, Identifying Chemical Hazards in the Process of transportation, Personnel reliability, Operational planning and communication, Emergency Management. Participants will have the opportunity to apply for Risk management system as it  related to chemical transportation security.  physical security improvement grants to address high priority security risks.  

Course period: 3-days

Targeted audience:  This opportunity is open only to transportation companies,  security companies who are in-charge with packaging, delivering chemical materials to end users (Security officers and Drivers).
